Cancer is one of the diseases that have spread widely around. Accurate factors that lead to cancer is still not clear. Scientists around the world are continuously researching hard in order to find vaccines and treatments to cure cancer among patients.

Recently, the scientists have developed a new cancer vaccine which has successfully cleared the preclinical trials. Now, the scientists are making advancements to test their vaccine on the human beings.

The vaccine was developed by the Mater Research team. This team is from the Translational Research Institute. Associate Prof. Kristen Radford who was the lead researcher for the study said that the new vaccine that has been developed by them has a promising potential for treating different types of blood cancers and malignancies, which can be considered as a major advancement in the cancer treatment. Moreover, she added that they are hoping that this vaccine will help in treating blood cancers, such as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, pediatric leukemia, myeloid leukemia, and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Solid malignancies, such as lung, ovarian, breast, renal, and pancreatic cancers, along with glioblastoma can also be treated with the help of this vaccine.

While discussing about the vaccine Radford said that the new vaccine consists of antibodies fused with tumor-specific protein and they are examining the vaccines’ capacity for targeting the human cells while triggering tumor cells memory. She further added that the vaccine provides several other benefits over the cancer vaccines that are available right now, which was displayed in their clinical trials.

She further made statements:

•    Firstly, it can be produced as an 'off the shelf' clinical grade formulation, which circumvents the financial and logistical issues associated with patient-specific vaccines.
•    Secondly, this prototype vaccine targets the key tumor cells required for the initiation of tumor-specific immune responses, thereby maximizing potential effectiveness of treatment, while minimizing potential side effects.

Adding further she said that they were happy about their research study was published in a prominent journal, Clinical and Translational Immunology, and in future they will continue working to find more effective and safe vaccines for cancer.

Market Research Store has published the report on the global cancer vaccines market. The report displays that the market will gain huge demand during the forecast period owing several factors.
