Audi has also planned to begin phasing out internal combustion engine (ICE) models, which is expected to conclude by 2033.
Audi initially unveiled that it would invest a significant portion of the allotted funding in the transition to electric vehicles. By 2030, Audi would possibly expand its sophisticated electrification approach with the aim of achieving crucial milestones.

On the contrary, CARIAD, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, has recently publicized that it would develop a scalable software platform with a uniform operating system and cloud connectivity for all the models either launched or to be launched by the company by 2025.
