Cargill has inaugurated the Cargill Innovation Hub in Gurugram, Haryana, to create new solutions that meet present food and beverage industry trends, as part of its increased research and development focus. By co-developing nutritious, healthy food alternatives for customers, the firm will work with its F&B clients in India to uncover consumer preferences, translate global industry trends into local applicability, and speed consumer product innovation processes. This state-of-the-art hub in India, which spans over 17,000 square feet, features a sensory lab and demo kitchen that can support the beverage, dairy, bread, and convenience food sectors, and many other specialized cuisines needs.

Cargill's experience in many business groups, like specialty fats, edible oils, sweeteners, texturizers, starches, chocolate, cocoa, and bespoke blended ingredients, is brought together under one roof, providing the food and beverage sector with a complete product discovery solution. The center will assist consumers in reformulating goods that are reduced in fat, salt, and sugar while maintaining texture and flavor in order to promote a balanced and nutritious diet in accordance with India's evolving food standards. Customers throughout Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa may now access a global network of ten other innovation centers and nearly 2,300 food scientists.
The innovation center will feature 27 food specialists/scientists on staff, as well as chances for aspiring talent from agriculture, academia, and food sector. This will also motivate organizations of all sizes to collaborate on research and development. To create market-driven solutions, the invention center facility will be furnished with the latest analytical and applications competencies, like Ultra High-Temperature Processing (UHT) pilot plant and a chocolate processing line. It will bring together global know-how and local skills to enable us to offer solutions to our clients more quickly. The center will employ Augmented Reality (AR) to live-stream practical demonstrations to our customers from a faraway location.
The launch of this innovation center is another significant step in Cargill's three-decade journey in India and its commitment to contribute to the country's development.
