It has been informed that Colorox will take time until summer to complete their stock and send it to the retail stores. In order to combat with this COVID-19 situation their popular products like wipes and other disinfectant cleaners are being manufactured on a large scale.

Clorox CEO and chairman, Benno Dorer, commented that there will be substantial improvement in the product stocks by summer. They are putting efforts to increase the supply of the products.

The current scenario is that the customers are getting frustrated while hunting for products such as Lysol sprays and Clorox wipes online and in retail stores. People, especially from COVID-19 red zones, have cleaned up the shelves filling their households with the cleaning products for protection against the infection.

The market players in the antiseptic and disinfectant business were not prepared for this situation. This is a business which was quite stagnant and would trigger only during the season of flu.

Dorer commented, in their third-quarter earnings call last week, that the demand for Clorox and other disinfectant products saw a rise of more than 500 per cent.

The Environmental Protection Agency said that products such as Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Clorox 4-in-1 Disinfecting Spray help in stopping the spread of the coronavirus.

The CEO of the Institute for Supply Management, Tom Derry, had told in an interview that the shoppers would have to wait until June to buy disinfectant wipes and other cleaning products. The demand is more and the manufacturers are struggling with the supply of products.

The recent report published on the global antiseptic and disinfectant products market by the Market Research Store showcases that the market has witnessed a rapid growth in the years 2019-2020 owing to the outbreak of the pandemic.
