Founder of Gamerji, Soham Thacker, commented that most of their users are from the urban cities and have the age group of 16 to 35. Other online games such as skill-based ones such as rummy or poker are also gaining popularity. The multi-player games such as PUBG and Clash of Duty witnessed an increase in the number of players since people can connect with their friends remotely.
Games such as Ludo and Carom are also gaining popularity and are attracting more players. Co-founder of WinZO Games said "activity on the social features of the app, such as video and audio usage during game play, has also doubled. The surge was very sudden. Starting the weekend of March 15, there was a 3x increase in game plays and 30% higher traffic... this is growing every single hour”.
