The Cell press recently published their white paper that observes the first set of cells to have undertaken under a temperature range that was previously undiscovered. The team notes that a simple mechanism had the ability to punctuate the growth and self-replication process of protocells – putative ancestors of the modern day living cells. Protocells are defined as the vesicles that are often bounded by a membrane based layer and are potentially similar to the first unicellular common ancestral format (FUCA). On the basis of previously known research, the team quoted a simple model that takes into account simple mathematical principles as the main driving principle force for reproduction and cell growth as a matter of the temperature scale that occurs between the inside and outside of the cylindrical protocell as a result of inner based chemical activity.

The splitting of a cell in order to form two daughter cells requires the capability of a variety of biochemical and mechanical processes that involves cytoskeletal structures inside their cell body. However, the team notes that such complex creatures often have the ability to split and form different and varied forms of life. In the new variation of study, the team proposed a model based on the idea that earlier formats of life were simple and often contained a particular network of chemical reactions. These reactions were often based on a precursor of modern cellular metabolism. The team created their first hypothesis based on the latter fact that a simple molecule that contains the membrane bilayer can be found synthesized inside the protocell through a form of global exothermic reaction or through energy-releasing with the action of chemical reactions. The slower increase of the inner temperature forces the hottest molecules to move from the inner layers throughout the outer layer, as the team notes.
