Google, in 2019, had made an official announcement about releasing a new version of Pixel Buds. They have kept their promise and the product is finally coming up in the stores. The new Pixel Buds are wireless and is priced $179 which is approximately 13,500 Indian rupees.
Look-wise the buds might match with the previous version but the design is completely new. There are rubber ear tips that go inside the ear canal and at the top there is a wing that secures the buds. You can swipe or tap in order to perform different functions since the round surface of the buds are touch sensitive.
An added feature in these microphones is Adaptive Sound, which uses the inbuilt microphone for detecting the surroundings and accordingly automatically the volume is adjusted with no manual interference.
Google has highlighted that the dual microphones make clearer voice calls and the accelerometer built inside helps in detecting when you will start your conversation by sensing the jaw movement. With the help of the Google Assistant one can always perform tasks such as reading the text messages, setting of the alarms, weather updates, etc.
Google flaunts that their Pixel Buds have a wide connectivity and it allows you to stay connected three rooms apart. The review for the previous version claims that these all claims by Google have never failed. The battery life is good enough for 5 hours of music and minimum 2 hours of talk and that to on a single charge. Furthermore, the charging case provides an additional 24 hours of charging. The charging case is oval in shape having super design in a matte finish body. It can be charged wirelessly or with the help of USB-C cable.
In the announcement, Google proposed that Pixel Buds 2 will be available in 4 colors-- Clearly White, Almost Black, Quite Mint, and Oh So Orange. But currently only the white variant will be available in the stores.
