A team of researchers from System Instruments Co., Ltd. and Kobe University has designed a tear-based technology for early cancer diagnosis. The technology named TearExo® is developed for the detection of breast cancer using the exosomes present in tears as biomarkers. And the exosomes are subcategories of extracellular vesicles. The researchers from Kobe University mainly conducted this study with the hope that the new discovery will make a positive contribution toward human health by making early cancer detection possible.
